Worst Online School Ever

Did not reporr to NCAA as they stated. Did not give my daughter credit for assignments. After nagging them they just gave her some grades which were incorrect. I wasted a lot of time and money. Screenshot your stuff because they lie.

I would be more willing to accept what you say if you could write properly. It is very hard to follow your submission.

I agree with everything you stated and have had a very similar experience. They misrepresent who they are and what they do and have no communication at all (and that is the tip of the iceberg).

They have done possible irreparable academic damage to my son's record. They are going to hear from us as well.

I would hate for anyone to have to go through this. If you are considering national high school- DONT!! They never call back. The problem is always YOUR fault. They don't keep track of anything and I've had to do things over many many times. Not worth it.

The Worst School in America

I don't have the time to type all the discrepancies that this school has done. 1. They do not reply or communicate 2. They lose assignments 3. They do not keep up with virtual classes 4. Needed my daughter's grades for NCAA purposes and its been 3 months since completion and they still haven't turned stuff in. They were consistant with taking my money out of my account, but have caused my daughter to miss out on scholarship opportunities because they will not return calls or turn required items in to NCAA. They are also flagged by NCAA, and now I see why. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I am also having issues with them. I wish I had chose another school.

National High School - Customer Care Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
RUN as fast as you can from this "school". My son did "orientation" and was promised that we are emailing your parents right now your login info...5 days later...NO EMAIL. That was enough for me. I found a different school for my son to go to instead. Calls and emails have went unanswered and when someone DID call me back she HAD NO CLUE about the emails and phone messages I and my son had left. Quick clear way to get your money back if you have already paid, call your bank. I HIGHLY doubt there is actual instruction at this "school", and you have to "sign up" for classes...if the class you need to take is full...sorry so sorry you are out of luck. It seems like they just want your money, because we would have almost in month 2 WITHOUT my son taking an class because he had no log in. Stay far far away!!

National High School - Course Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
THIS SCHOOL IS A SCAM!!!!!! Please stay away from them! All they want is your money!! My daughter needed .5 of a credit in foreign language so we decided to sign up with this school, HUGE MISTAKE!! After she worked for 5 months and submitted all assignment I saw her do them and never did she receive a grade lower than an 85. When it was time to grade her exam they send an email stating she didn't turn it in right and she will get a 60 for the course. I payed over $1000.00 for this!!! Now my daughter will have to graduate with a certificate of attendance because of these SCAM artists!!!! I will be trying to get a lawsuit against them!!! They should be taken out!!!! It's not right that that can mess with our children's future!!!!!!!

To sum everything up in one sentence. Never use this school. A man named mack foster, who has been called out by name in several other reviews. Is the only person you can ever talk to, he will refuse to let you speak to any superiors, or anyone at all that isnt him. He takes 3-4 days to respond to any emails or voicemails. When you finally do hear from him he is blatantly rude, not like passive aggressive rude but he is legitimately mean to any parents or students he talks to, and blames all issues of his or the schools on you. The grading process takes weeks for one single assignment, and that often forces you to pay for more months that you don't need to. I personally have been waiting over a month to get my transcript so I can find another school, and every interaction with Mack takes at least ten days for him to respond. Beginning to think this is a scam and I will never get my transcript.

I am having the exact same issue. Now Mack Foster does not work at that school (as of October) would've been nice to know then.

Have been waiting over a month and cannot get anyone to return emails or phone calls.

Parchment is no help either to get the transcript from this school. Worst mistake going with this school!

My son never submitted any work and ended up not needing to take the classes and this rude man that goes by the name Mr. Foster will not refund my $850.00 and refuses to let me speak to anybody higher than him! I am pissed! This company has the worst customer service! This why they can never keep their employees and every week there is someone new working there! This place does not exist to help the children. The tutorials are about 30 minutes and the children are basically teaching themselves! I am so glad we did not need a diploma from them!

Summer School - Need Advice

So, I am struggling to find an online summer school. I am from Idaho, in the United States. I had a strange feeling about National High School since the first voicemail they (Sean Reed - Advisor) left me. He had sounded as if he was from India, but the call came from Georgia. It was hard to understand. After I listened to the voicemail, I sent National High School an email, explaining a few things: 1. When I requested info. I merely wanted some answers first, not necessarily to enroll right away. 2. Being from Idaho, I am in a totally different time zone, as I am two hours behind. So when I get a call at 7 AM, I won't answer; I also am still in school and cannot accept calls until after noon. 3. Therefore, it is much easier to communicate via email, although, I am available to speak over the phone AFTER noon. I still have not been able to contact them over the phone being they call me too early or too late, without a message. They have ignored my emails and simple requests. They are telling me that one semester class w/ them is $250, as a yearlong class is $499. To me, that cash doesn't come easy. When I see them being accused of fraud and such on here, it scares me. Am I wrong? Does anyone have anything good to say about their experience with National High School?

They claim to have accreditation, but I'm skeptical. Why this particular school, if I may ask?

If it sounds very easy, it may be too good to be true. While they may be legit, their accreditation is doubtful.

Guest

The only positive thing I have to say about the school is that I got out! Look up public online schools in your area.

I went to Georgia Virtual School, it was free and it was WAY easier than this. Best of all, everyone was American!

Guest

So, its National High School's fault that you are in a different time zone? This post does not make sense.

If they can not not speak with you, how can a validation be made of who you are? Sounds like sound business practice.

Guest

My daughter went there! They kept saying she was cheating because she would hand in more than 5 assignments at a time due to the computer not taking some of her assignments some days!

Since when do you get that turning in homework is cheating? She also had issues with the computer not taking her assignments and they gave her zeros.

Said again she was cheating. This school I would not recommend to anyone!

This student's courses were reset because she submitted blank assignments. We gave them a second chance.

The student did it again. The student was not afforded another chance. We advised the parent to look for another option if the program did not fit the student's learning style.

The student looked at Indiana University High School and decided to stay with NHS.

Potential students should be aware of the academic requirements at National High School. If you submit blank work at any high school in the Nation, you will receive an F, no different here. The computer took every blank assignment, the student submitted.

We expect students to complete their work, those that do not and do not follow the rules, post blogs and complain. We are not in the business of providing A(s) for blank work.

If that deems us as a bad school, we will take the title. By the way, the poster of this statement did not mentioned NHS is the third online program the student has attended and they are still enrolled in the school.

Following directions and reading is fundamental. The student handbook, tells you not to submit more than 5 assignments, per course per day, the student orientation tells you not to submit more than 5 assignments per course, per day.

Why, would you submit more than the allotted amount when you have been directed not to do so? We do not give students grades, they earn them, big difference.

Do not let this poster deter you, the student has As and will take those As to college. Do not give up your opportunity because they can not follow directions.

They are benefiting from the program at the same time this post was written.

NHS has hundreds of student in college. We are proud of what we provide.

This post is slander, thus the anonymous post.

Wouldn't trust this school

After reading everyone's reviews of this school, I am glad I didn't register with them! My gut feeling was that they were a scam due to two reasons: A) their grammar stinks in the emails I have received from them. You can tell they are foreign because of the run on sentences and many times don't use the correct endings. Their emails screamed "foreigner"! B) I submitted a request for information online at 9:30 pm on a weeknight. 20 minutes later at 9:50pm, a man called me to talk to me about their school!! I was appalled someone would call that late at night, and the call came from GA, which is in the same time zone as me! Since the, they have called several times a day and I cannot talk on the phone during the day. I only wanted information via email, but they kept calling excessively! I am so annoyed that they cannot respect "do not call!" C) They gave very little information about their classes, curriculum, and how the format of the class works. But they did give me information on the cost!! So after my gut feeling told me "no" I read these reviews and feel better I didn't do it!

National High School is a Scam

I agree with previous reviews. I watched my student submit requests to enroll in courses and get denied. Staff will blame any technical difficulty on the child. They are not helpful and staff turnover results in different stories and advise each time you attempt to get help. Extremely unsatisfactory, cost much more money than you think it will. Do not enroll your student in this program.I spent nearly $800, my child was diligent and very responsible about doing work, received A's on all their work and we ended up having to pay for 3 extra months due to "technical difficulties" and errors they blamed on my student.

Bogus HS diploma

My son took their testing in 2011 and passed. We didn't have the money to pay for the paperwork until 2013. He received a diploma and transcript. Well all jobs he applied for they did not accept it as valid. Spent hours talking to people online and on phone with them. Supposedly they give accreditation letter afterwards but finally got someone to tell me that it has to be 'legalized' and 'registered' with the state for a cost of $215 since he was a graduate of this school. Seriously? more money? I tried several times to talk to people and as soon as it came to this info, they hung up on me - live chat or on the phone. The people spoke to were foreign voiced with a half decent command of English but still hard to understand. And one told me they were in CA. Yet I went online to pose for a diploma and they called me from a local area code?? WTH??So guess we have to get a GED from our state knowing it is truly valid and accepted with employers. He had told me he had to pay $215 more to make this diploma legalized??? WTH??? Yeah it squeaks of scam all the way.

National High School SCAM !! FRAUD!!

Updated by user Jul 05, 2012

Also to add they say they are A SAC\'S accredited school. BUT when I was speaking to the supposed dean of the school \"Michelle Robinson\" She said that they didn\'t know if they could credit my daughters work and we live in TEXAS .

DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE !!! Also some of the other names they go under is \" James Brown, McAnthony Foster\" On top of that when we were going through all of this. We asked to speak to the guy \"Micheal Swarzak \" who signed us up and told us all the lies to begin with that this school was just like connections academy and etc . Then is when this lady \"Sheila\" picks up his phone and tells us he quit and that she is one of the directors of the school .

She explains to my daughter that everything is going to be alright , so we told the supposed \" Tim Bloore\" and he tells us that this Sheila is not a director but a student admin!! EVERYWHERE IS LIES AND LIES IN THIS SCHOOL THEY ARE A BIG SCAM HUNTING FOR MONEY IN THE U.S..

Original review Jul 05, 2012
There is a home schooling program out there called National High School . Please don't pay and send your children there. My daughter was in that school for 7 months trying to turn in her work and finishing school work. But THEN every time she tried turning in her work they would quickly erase it from her assignment checklist . Then write to me and say that she hasn't done any of her work and that we need to pay money for the next month! So one day I sat with my daughter and watched her do her work and submit it in. After witnessing it before MY VERY OWN EYES I called her student coordinator "Tim Bloore"(One of the many names these people use). When I spoke with him the next morning he tells me that she hasn't turned any work in and that we are due for our next payment!!! I WAS UNBELIEVABLELY FURIOUS AS TO THE LIES HE WAS SAYING! After I with my own two eyes saw her turning it . This school is a big scam and fraud based out of another country over seas. They have a few people working there who go by many names like "Michelle Robinson, Sheila, Tim Bloore, Micheal Swarzak, Hamidah Ghaswala, Ms. Mohammed" . The supposed director of the school "Sheila" Told my daughter to talk the school dean who was a woman named "Michelle Robinson" . After my daughter talked to her and explained what was happening with the assignments. She called me back saying all these lies when I clearly was there listening to my daughter talking on the phone. The fact is this school has a few people working there under various names based in another country out of the U.S. PLEASE STAY AWAY THEY ARE A SCAM !!!

This so called school is a SCAM!!!! My daughter needed .5 of a credit to graduate and after I payed $1000 for this course and every grade that she received was no lower than an 85 they stated that she didn't turn her exam in correctly and she failed!!

There's no possible way mathematical that this would add up! We need to get a lawsuit against this school!! They are messing with our children's future and this is not right!!

Cannot get hold of anyone. Takes forever to get signed up and before you even start the first month is over and your due for payment.

Very Bad customer service.

They do not want to help you. They only want your money

Agree wholeheartedly with this review. I also had a poor experience with them. It's a huge scam

Guest

I myself took a few classes from national high school to get up a grade after being held back in middle school. Worst decision ever made was to deal with them!!

They are awful with communication, so many ridiculous policies and it seemed like every question I had and tried to call in id be sent to 10 different people and never was helped!! This place needs some serious help. I was miserable taking it.

Everyone extremely rude. They don't care at all what happens to you , they're only in it for the money.

Guest

Warning this suppose National High School is nothing but a fraudulent company trying to take hold of your credit card account. If you question the cost of a course prior to registering they will give you a special deal of half off, however, as soon as they get your credit card info.

they will charge you the full price and continue to do so monthly until you stop or dispute the charges. I stop one visa credit card from being charged over and over again but then they called my daughter, a minor, to submit another card. They told her get it somehow so she gave them my Discover card #. unfortunately Discover took the side of the merchant and awarded them full credit to the amount of $900.-.

the total cost of the unfinished course was $ 1300.-. The course original cost was $150.-

Guest

A few weeks ago I had someone contact me from this supposed school stating the high school diploma that my son got in the mail, which he earned taking the online classes was not valid but for another 500 dollars they'll send one that is.

How dare they!!!! I contacted the phone online n said they were only an answering service.i immediately asked my daughter to call from her cell to same number and say she was interested in their program.

Ofcourse then they weren't an answering service but the administrators .

I filed a complain to the BBB n to consumer affairs.

Though I know I will not get my money back I urge all parents to look at other alternatives, such as alternative school .LESSON LEARNED!!!!!!

I want my 250 back because this is not right I dont know about yaw but I know I dont have money to splurge like that ..

The school is terrible. They hold grades so they can keep the student stringing along and paying every month.

The workers get paid on a commission. They do not do this to the NCAA students because they do not want to lose their accreditation.

McAnthony Foster knew exactly what he was doing when he said all of those lies to you. It was his way of making more money off of you.

Someone needs to get to the bottom of this.

I am so glad my child is finally away from that school. My child also lost a whole year of school because of McAnthony Foster.

They do need to have a class action lawsuit brought against them. I am sure there are at least 100 students out there who have gone through the same thing.

Guest

I actually went to where their address was to get some of my paperwork to them. (I am a student and went up there with my mom)

I was told that "students were not permitted there" When I asked why they informed me that they had a incident with a student getting their information and coming to their house, so they close their office to the public, which is understandable.

My sister in law graduated from National High School and is attending LSU now.

Everything went well for her. They are real people working there. I actually met "Tim Bloore" but they started using those names because students who were upset with grades would come to their homes, attack them over social media sites, etc. It's the same with how most schools don't allow their teachers to have facebook accounts.

If you actually got the back story, I am sure you would understand more.

Sometimes they take a long time to reply, but it is not a scam. I can promise you that.
